EPA Announces Grant for Training in New Orleans

Many of us in the environmental engineering industry tend to cringe when a new announcement comes out of EPA, knowing it probably means additional costs and burdens for our clients with little if any measurable environmental improvement.   It was surprising then to see that Region VI has awarded a training grant for Environmental Workforce Development and Job Training (EWDJT) grant for $200,000 for New Orleans.  According to EPA …”The grant will support local work to recruit, train, and place individuals in jobs that address environmental challenges in the New Orleans area. The grant is part of $3.6 million dollars awarded to 17 other grantees across the U.S.”
